Rainwater Reuse Growing in Singapore as Innovative Options Come to Market
Rainwater harvesting in Singapore is expanding—enabling residential and commercial property owners to capture, collect and reuse rainwater for non-potable, onsite applications.
Later this year, a large-scale rainwater harvesting and reuse system will start up at the INTERPOL Global Complex for Innovation and will enable potable water savings of over 11,000 m3 per year.
Designed and supplied by Singapore-based Netatech Pte Ltd., the rainwater system will incorporate a UV Pure Upstream unit to provide disinfection of harvested water before it is reused for toilet flushing.
The Upstream system with Crossfire technology is built to meet the same standards as NSF/ANSI 55 Class A requirements and will ensure that the water is free from pathogens such as bacteria and viruses to comply with national regulations.
Netatech is the exclusive representative for UV Pure products in Singapore and provides complete, highly integrated solutions for decentralized non-potable water management such as rainwater harvesting, storm water treatment and detention and drip irrigation.
These solutions are available for a range of industries including commercial, hospitality, institutional, municipal and residential. Netatech also supports these solutions with cloud-based automation, control and monitoring, phone and e-mail support and onsite maintenance.
“Netatech water management solutions are built around intelligent designs and tightly integrated systems that enable simple operation with exceptional performance and control, said David Tan, Director of Netatech Group. “UV Pure disinfection systems with Crossfire technology fit perfectly with our design and performance requirements and we look forward to working with UV Pure as we continue developing leading solutions for non-potable urban water conservation and reuse in Singapore and beyond.”
