Greetings from UV Pure! Our team is excited to announce that we kicked off the 2020 year with the largest number of orders ever seen in January. This is contributing to the sales momentum of our Third Generation Hallett™ units, UV Pure® is now positioned to have our best year yet.
UV Pure’s Response to COVID-19
During this difficult time of the COVID-19 pandemic, UV Pure continues to deliver on its mission to provide safe water to its valued customers. Deemed an essential service by Public Safety Canada, UV Pure has been operating with minimal rotating staff as well as remote staff to ensure that our customers and communities around the world continue to be supported. Focused on acting safely and responsibly, the group has established a business continuity team to ensure we provide proper guidance for the well-being of employees and customers as we support global operations.
UV Pure Meets European Market
In October 2019, we took the initial steps required to obtain CB/CE certification for the Hallett 1000 series. Fast forward to now, UV Pure has completed the testing required to obtain the CB Test Certificate and CB Report with the CE mark to enter the European markets with our Third Generation Hallett™ 1000 systems. “The CB Report is a huge milestone for UV Pure. Providing safe water is an essential service and this new certification enhances our ability to provide peace of mind around the world, even during the toughest times,” says David McNamee, Director of Operations.
The CB Test Certificate is issued based on third party testing of samples of the products against a published IEC standard, while the CE marking is a regulatory marking to enter the European market and constitutes a declaration by the manufacturer that the product complies with the essential requirements.
Uncovering new markets pushes our vision forward in making safe water available globally. To establish our presence in the European market, our team will be travelling to Munich, Germany in September 2020 to showcase our Third Generation Hallett™ at the IFAT tradeshow, the world’s leading trade fair for water, sewage, waste and raw materials management. With the CB Report giving us the ability to access the European market, our team will use the IFAT tradeshow as an opportunity to help identify the best UV Pure solutions for prospective customer needs.

UV Pure’s abilities and team size have experienced growth this past quarter. With the new Director of Sales, Raphael Lima, and implementation of weekly webinars, the Company continues to unlock opportunities.

As an accomplished sales and marketing leader with consolidated industry experience, the new Director of Sales, Raphael Lima, plays a vital role in contributing to new business development strategies, management of daily sales operations, and cultivation of strategic partnerships through a customer-focused approach. With an HBSc in Biomedical Sciences and a specialization in Biotechnology, Raphael is committed to upholding UV Pure’s organizational integrity by ensuring the Company remains up-to-date with current industry trends, innovations, and standards.
Webinars
Hosted by UV Pure’s Service Manager/Electrician Technician, Alex Zammit developed webinars to spread Third Generation Hallett™ information far and wide. The webinars were hosted weekly and included topics such as:

- Third Generation Hallett™ Installation and Startup
- Third Generation Hallett™ Maintenance & Troubleshooting
